How to Use

On the first burn, allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the container to prevent tunnelling in future burns. We recommend trimming the wick to around 5mm before each burn, this ensures a clean and even burn.

As much as we know you’ll love the scent, don’t let it burn for more than 4 hours at once as this can cause smoking and shorten the overall burn time of your candle. Never leave it unattended, and keep it away from drafts, children, and pets.

What type of wax do you use?

We use 100% natural soy wax for all of our candles and wax melt bars, offering a clean, long-lasting burn. Find out more about the benefits of soy wax in our blog posts.

How long do your candles burn for?

The burn time depends on the candle size: Votive Candle: approx burn time 15 hours 20cl Candle: approx burn time 30 hours 30cl Candle: approx burn time 45 hours You can find the specific size and burn time on each product page. If you’re not sure of the size of your candle, it is detailed on each product page.

How long should I burn my candle for?

On the first burn we recommend that you burn your candle for approximately 3-4 hours, or until there is an even melt pool across the width of the vessel. After the first burn, we suggest burning your candle for no more than 2–4 hours at a time to keep the wick healthy and avoid overheating the wax. If you have a votive candle, because this is smaller we would recommend you burn your candle for 1-2 hours at a time.

Why is my candle sooting?

Sooting usually happens when airflow is restricted or the wick is too long. To minimise this, we recommend you trim your wick to 5mm (about ¼ inch) before each burn and keep your candle away from drafts.

Can I reuse my candle jar?

Yes! Simply clean out the jar with warm, soapy water and repurpose it. We find they make great holders for small plants, pens or makeup brushes.
