How long do your Christmas scented candles last? 

Each of our festive candles has a strong 40-45 hour burn time, but this can depend on how you care for them. To get the most from each one, allow the melt pool to reach the full edge of the vessel on the first burn, which takes around two hours. This prevents tunnelling and delivers consistent fragrance throw from the first burn to the last.

How long does a Christmas reed diffuser last? 

Reed diffusers in this collection last between four and six weeks, depending on room temperature and how many reeds you use. Turning the reeds every few days refreshes the scent throw. Warmer rooms accelerate diffusion, so the same diffuser lasts longer in a cool hallway than in a warm sitting room.

Every product in the festive collection comes from the island factory on the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides. Jamie and Deenie McGowan founded the brand there in 2015, and the full process, from formulation to hand-pouring, happens on the island.

What wax do you use in your Christmas candles? 

We use natural soy wax. It burns at a lower temperature than paraffin, releasing fragrance gradually throughout the life of the candle rather than front-loading the scent in the first burn. Soy wax also produces significantly less soot than paraffin, keeping the air in your home cleaner across the whole burn.
