Why we love soy wax candles

Here at Essence of Harris, we’ve made the conscious decision to use soy wax in all of our candles. But why? What is it about soy wax candles that we love so much?

First and foremost, soy wax candles are more renewable and eco-friendly. Soy wax is a natural wax made from soybeans, making it a more sustainable option for our scented candles. We want to celebrate our glorious corner of the world and all that is natural and wonderful about the Isle of Harris – so why would we choose anything but soy wax candles?

Soy wax candles also have a cleaner burn, and tend to burn slower, allowing you to enjoy your favourite scented candles for longer.
