Can you believe it’s almost March? It feels like only yesterday that we were taking down the Christmas tinsel and heading back to the office after the festive holidays. With work, university, and life’s busy moments it sometimes feels like time flies without you ever stopping, breathing and taking a moment for yourself. It’s often difficult to find a time each day to relax and switch off from the hustle and bustle, but we’re here to make it a little easier for you, all with the simple flicker of a warming flame.

This month, on the night before Valentine’s Day, team Essence headed to Glasgow for a special night at the Corinthian Club to introduce our soothing candles to a group of candle-crazy bloggers and influencers. The night centred around the calming benefits of candles & home fragrance; how the simplicity of lighting a candle and breathing in the delicate scents can help to create a moment of peace amongst the chaos of our daily routines. With bubbles, chocolate-covered strawberries, and a table completely dedicated to scent, it was a night designed around calm. One of the girl’s commented that the “the whole place smelled like a spa”, and that’s exactly what we hoped for; we wanted to show people how easy it is to create a corner of calm in your own home. A big thanks must go to @ronamcmillan & @one4events for helping to organise such a lovely event, @nailco for tending to everyone's nails and @emilyclairehutton for the amazing photos. Last but not least, thank you to all of the guests who came along who made the night so special for us.
